Os presentamos un nueva unidad terminada: un regimiento de 30 miniaturas de la Reiksguard a pie o, con el nombre propio en los tiempos de la batalla que representamos, la Reikland Guard.
We present you another finished unit: a regiment of 30 Reiksguard on foot miniatures or, Reikland Guard, as a proper name in the era when this battle was fought.
En este caso, trabajé en esta unidad teniendo claros dos conceptos por encima de todo. En primer lugar, después de comprobar el efectivo resultado del pintado a capa base, quise limitar las aplicación de la pintura a solo colores Base Citadel en cada zona, excepto en la armadura, que detallé mediante sombras y luces a aerógrafo y pincel. Realmente, para el tiempo empleado el resultado es bastante decente, como podréis apreciar en las imágenes. Creo que el hecho de terminar las peanas también ayuda mucho!
In this case, I worked on this unit thinking on two clear issues. Firstly, after checking the effective result of the one-layer painting system, I wanted to limit the application of painting to Citadel Base colours in each area, except in the armor, which it was detailed with airbrush and brush. Actually, in accordance with the expended time, the result is quite decent, as you can appreciate in the following pics. Finishing the bases helps a lot to unit's looks!
El segundo aspecto importante era el esquema de color. Estas miniaturas salieron a la venta a finales de 3ª edición (1992) y fueron descatalogadas con la salida del libro de ejército de 6ª edición (2000). Cuatro de las miniaturas, que podéis identificar por su figura más recargada, fueron realizadas por Marauder y aparecieron en 1993.
The second important aspect was the color scheme. These miniatures went on sale at the end of 3rd edition (1992) and were discontinued with the release of the 6th edition (2000). Four of the miniatures, which can be identified by its most overloaded figure, were made by Marauder and appeared in 1993.
Las miniaturas que aparecieron en las White Dwarf y demás material oficial de GW estaban pintadas con el azul y el rojo característicos de Altdorf, donde el rojo destacaba de forma extrema como en la mayoría de miniaturas de la época. Estas imágenes son de las primeras White Dwarf españolas (¡desde aquí dar las gracias al Friki Solitario por el lujo de material al que nos permite acceder!)
The miniatures that appeared in the White Dwarf and other official GW publications were painted with the Altdorf ‘s typicals blue and red. In that times, colour red was used almost in every painting area of the miniatures! These images are from some of the first Spanish White Dwarf numbers (credits to El Friki Solitario's blog!)
En un segundo esquema oficial de GW, que apareció bastante menos en sus publicaciones, las miniaturas estaban pintadas con el blanco y el negro propios de Ostland. Esta imagen es de la White Dwarf española nº 52 (nº 234 de la edición inglesa).
In a second official scheme of GW, which appeared much less in its publications, the miniatures were painted with Ostland’s white and black. This image is from the Spanish White Dwarf #52 - number #234 of the English edition.

Este último esquema es el que me sirvió de inspiración para pintar mis miniaturas, aunque adapté el color de los ropajes al blanco-roto o beige de Reikland. Por el resto he seguido el mismo patrón de la imagen superior, limitando el color rojo a las bandas y cintas. Los escudos que he utilizado son de la matriz de tropas estatales antiguas y de la matriz de caballeros del Imperio (que por lo que veo también está hoy descatalogada).
This last scheme is the one that inspired me to paint my miniatures, although I adapted the colour of the clothes to Reikland’s off-white or beige. In the other areas I followed the same pattern that you can see in this image, limiting the red color to the bands and tapes. The shields that I have used are come from old state troops and knights of the Empire sprues - this latest is also oop today.
El esquema de este ejército imperial me gustó mucho en su momento, y el resto de unidades de Reikland que aun faltan por pintar también se inspirarán en estos regimientos. Hasta la próxima entrada!

ResponderEliminarNunca suelo comentar en blogs, pero este proyecto me parece impresionante, y el nivel de pintura, para tantas miniaturas, es muy muy alto. Lo he seguido desde casi el principio y entro constantemente para ver cómo va. Mucho ánimo y seguid así, sois muy grandes.
